I just sent a client elsewhere (and it felt great)

I've got 11 minutes between my client-prospect call and a call with a lovely former client, and I just had to share this experience, because I'm glowingly pleased. See, I really enjoyed talking with the client-prospect. She's everything I hope a client will be - smart, funny, thoughtful, articulate, MOTIVATED! We totally clicked. And she found me with my shiny keywords: Copywriter for coaches. Hurray SEO!

And then I sent her elsewhere.

Because, as a new coach, I think she'll be better served *right now* by doing a program designed to drill down into her value proposition, brand positioning, and messaging.

Later, we can get together and add the final polishing touches, dig even deeper into her value, and make sure her website reflects who she is and what she offers. But that's not what she needs most right this minute.

Yep, I showed her the Uncage Your Business program, which I did myself last year, and highly recommended it. Because it's so good at giving you clarity. And I'm also good at bringing clients to clarity, but Becca's program forces you to do things like customer surveys (which are GOLDEN). And you're thrown in with a bunch of other new coaches, all going through the same struggles, all helping each other out.

I don't have any agreements with Rebecca Tracey. I get no money from this.

But you know? I get good karma from this. Because I think going elsewhere, at least for now, is exactly what this prospect-client needs. And I would rather make sure she gets the very best guidance through these early stages of building her coaching business than make a fast buck.
